These storage solutions are becoming more and more popular nowadays with the increase in the number of people moving to other areas for work or education reasons. Other reasons why people may want to go for these solutions are perhaps they still have family in the town they are moving from or property that they would like to come back to someday. In most cases, it is the renter of the self storage units who is in responsible for holding the lock and key to the unit, and the owners of the self storage facility are not able to access the contents within. This takes care of any security issues and greatly minimizes the risk of theft and property damage. In addition, many self storage are operated under computer control and there are usually security cameras on the premises to add a greater degree of protection.
